Since The Witches was first published 30 years ago, there have been countless adaptations of the classic for theatre, screen and radio including a film starring Angelica Houston released the year of Dahl’s death in 1990. Fans of Dahl’s work are encouraged to come along for the weekend dressed as their favourite Roald Dahl character for the chance to win some squiffingly good prizes. Visitors are invited to create their own scary witch mask, add to Seven Stories’ Book of Spells and make witch claws all inspired by Roald Dahl’s classic novel. This year marks the book’s 30 year anniversary and to celebrate this legacy, Seven Stories will be opening its doors to Roald Dahl fans for a wicked weekend of craft and stories.
